7. Summary
This DevRel strategy is developer-first, example-driven, and community-focused. It emphasizes:
- Runnable examples and template repositories
- Evidence pipelines integrated with Surveilr
- Compliance-ready test suites
- Blogs, videos, workshops, and office hours
- Strong community programs and support systems
- Continuous feedback loops through GitHub
This approach positions evidence-driven, test-as-code workflows as the default model for QA, SRE, DevOps, and compliance teams.
Test-as-Evidence platform practice
This practice covers the developer platform side of a regulated quality system: how tests are written, where their results go, and how an auditor reads them. It has four parts.
Test Management as Code (TMaC)
Test cases are Markdown files in the same Git repository as the code, so each test change carries a commit SHA, an author, and a pull request review, and the traceability matrix from requirement to test is rebuilt from Git history for every healthtech release under SOC 2 change control.
SQL evidence packs and Surveilr dashboards
Surveilr ingests test results, pipeline logs, and review records into a SQLite test evidence log, and each dashboard is a SQL query over it, so the HIPAA Security Rule audit trail for systems that store PHI is a query an engineer can rerun.
Git-native compliance suites
Each compliance suite maps its test cases to control IDs such as SOC 2 CC8.1, ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Annex A 8.29, and HIPAA Security Rule 45 CFR §164.308(a)(8), and the CI job fails when a control for a PHI system has no passing entry in the release test evidence log.
Developer community operations
Test templates, evidence queries, and control mappings are published as versioned repositories, so a healthtech team adopting them can review every SQL query behind its SOC 2 or HIPAA Security Rule audit trail before an auditor relies on it.
